Holiday flights: book now, not later. High prices are weighing on holiday travelers, and a new survey shows plenty are switching to road trips instead. If you are flying, booking early beats waiting this year. The real bargains take points or off-peak dates. more
Alaska gives back 20% on kids' award flights. Book award tickets for kids through Alaska's Atmos Rewards and you get 20% of the points back, with no annual cap. Alaska is also giving elite status credit when you move Bilt or Marriott points into Atmos. more
American Airlines says no more bumping. An internal mandate tells staff to stop removing passengers from oversold flights against their will. Agents can now raise the offer to get volunteers and guarantee them the next flight. more
Disneyland tickets just went up. As of October 6, 1-day tickets cost $5 more in 4 of the park's 7 date-based price tiers. Worth a look before you price out a trip. more
Use your Bilt Cash by December 31. Bilt Cash expires at the end of the year, and only $100 can roll over. It only works inside Bilt's own ecosystem, so plan how you'll spend it. more
Amex points can knock up to 50% off at Amazon. It's a targeted offer: pay with Membership Rewards points and get 15% to 50% off, from as few as 429 points. It runs through December 3. more
Delta sale out of Seattle. Up to 40% off flights from Seattle, plus Delta Comfort upgrades for $12. It covers domestic and Hawaii flights, and Alaska-to-Florida routes. more
Possible Air France strike October 17 to 21. Unions for French cabin crew and pilots have issued a strike warning, and other airlines with French crews could be hit too. Flying to France that week? Keep an eye on your booking. more
Bilt points to Hyatt get worse in January. Through December 31, Bilt points move to World of Hyatt at 1:1. From January 1, it's 4:3, the same cut Chase made. more
Chase Freedom Flex is now better abroad. The card has dropped foreign transaction fees. If you still have the original Freedom, switching may be worth a look; if you're under Chase's 5/24 limit, applying for the bonus could beat it. more
American is adding cash plus miles. AAdvantage members will soon be able to pay for cash fares partly with miles. It's flexible, but it may not be a great use of your miles. more
Capital One miles now work for Airbnb and Vrbo. You can put miles toward vacation rental stays, and even Airbnb experiences like private chefs or local tours. more
Park Hyatt's first all-inclusive opens December 3. It's near Cancun. If you plan to use Hyatt points (or Chase points moved to Hyatt), lock in dates early; award nights will go fast. more
Delta adds Flagstaff, near the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Nonstop flights from Salt Lake City start June 7, 2027. more
Southwest: 2,000 bonus points for $200. The points post within 10 weeks. They don't count toward elite status or the Companion Pass. more
